Docusign Integration – Picklist Merge Fields Showing No Options

Hello, I’m working to get a picklist set up in a Docusign.
However, when I go to save a Docusign template with this picklist merge field embbeded I get an error message indicating I have no options for the signer to choose from in this field.
When creating the picklist I was sure to set the ‘Restrict Values In Picklist’ checkbox to false as decribed in the following two troubleshooting articles:
