How can we Differentiate Account ids,contactids from a list of sobject id in Salesforce?

I have a List of sObjects and need to put the ID of each record in this List into a separate List of type String.thanks

You can use Schema class for this.
Schema.SObjectType sobjectType = myId.getSObjectType();
String sobjectName = sobjectType.getDescribe().getName();Thanks
